Chapter 67 - Her Breaking Point - Part 1
Today, the last period was biology, and we were doing some practical work in the lab for practice before the exam.
But I hate it that it was my duty to clean the lab. Everyone left, even the teacher was probably in the teacher\'s room and I was alone in the lab having a staring contest with the skeleton hanging in the corner of the room.
I couldn\'t tell Gaisen or Tsūmen to wait for me because that would be wrong. They can have work, and I shouldn\'t make them wait for my sake. Even though I know that if I told them to wait, they would.
Also after yesterday\'s conversation with Reina, she hasn\'t talked with me today at all. We had eye contact quite a few times throughout the day, but she has been deliberately ignoring me. I guess she took my "don\'t talk with me" way too seriously.
I was done with the lab work; I was locking it. I\'ll just submit the key in the admin building and go home. The lab was on the top floor, on the opposite wing to that of the library.
To go to the admin building, there\'s a corridor between them which joins the two buildings. I was walking through the empty hallways, as the sound of my light footsteps was echoing frequently.
I turned around the corner and noticed Kizhashi standing with Uyeno\'s group in front of the staircase. At that moment, my first action was to hide behind the wall.
Noticing the expressions on their faces, they were probably joking around with each other, but the strange thing is that they shouldn\'t be here after school is over.
Also the fact that I saw Kizhashi leaving with everyone from the lab, and yet she is here with them on the top floor. It made no sense in any way because even if they were hanging out with each other, they wouldn\'t come to this floor out of the blue. Our second year classes were on the floor below.
I noticed the grim expression on Kizhashi\'s face as Isobe grabbed her hand and dragged her towards the staircase. There was a slight resistance on Kizhashi\'s part, but as Sakuma said something into her ear, Kizhashi ceased her attempts to fight back.
The top floor is the place where the staircase ends, so there is a huge empty space behind it, which is large enough to be a small room in itself. Whatever they were doing with her wasn\'t probably good.
I think they are going to harass her again. By harassment, I mean physical one this time. Well since they already did mental and verbal harassment on her, why left the last one out?
I hid my presence as I walked towards the wall next to the stair and peeked behind it to notice them standing around her, blocking her way out. They were standing on the far edge, as to make sure that no one could see them.
They were far enough to not be aware of my presence, but they were close enough for me to hear what was going on.
"Don\'t worry about this." Isobe had a menacing smile on her face.
"Yeah, this was our agreement right?" Sakuma said. Is it me or do these three complete each other\'s sentences?
"Y...yes." Kizhashi said, but her voice was feeble.
"Come on girl, don\'t be scared." Uyeno caressed her blonde hair with her right hand.
"I…" Kizhashi\'s body seemed to freeze up as she had a stiff expression on her face.
"What? Can\'t hear you." Isobe mocked her as she leaned closer to her.
"What is it!?" She again repeated herself in a louder voice and Kizhashi seemed to be caught off guard due to that sudden change in tone.
There was nothing but silence for a few moments. But she finally said, "I… please get over this quickly. I have other things to do." Seems like she gathered the courage to finally say that, because her voice was soft and it was breaking.
"Oh- playing tough are we?" Uyeno smirked as she let go of her hair.
Things were getting quite interesting, so I took out my mobile. Unlocking it, I pressed the volume buttons to make sure that the volume was set off. My mobile was already on mute mode, so I opened the camera and turned on recording.
Sliding the camera slightly from behind the wall, I started recording everything that was unfolding before me. Depending on what\'s happening, I\'ll have to tell Gaisen about this.
I noticed as Uyeno grabbed her wrist and pulled Kizhashi towards herself as she got a hold of her collar. "What happened? Huh!?"
"I don\'t see that pride in you anymore." Uyeno slammed her against the wall next to her, as it seemed to knock the air out of her.
"Talk to me!" She ordered her.
"N...no." Kizhashi was again showing some signs of resistance.
"Huh!?" Isobe said as she walked closer to her. Kizhashi averted eyes and turned her head.
"Look at me, Whore!" Isobe grabbed her cheeks quite roughly with her right hand. I could see that Kizhashi was in fear, but still managed to answer her steadily.
"What!? Just hurry up. Didn\'t we talk about this?"
"What will you do if we don\'t?" Isobe smirked. Damn, her smirk really makes me want to snap her neck.
"What will you do, Bitch!?" Isobe was being far more verbally abusive than she was a few days ago when the incident happened.
"Your Gaisen-kun isn\'t here, neither is Haru-kun here to save you like earlier." Uyeno laughed in a high pitched voice. I looked at my mobile, and it was still recording it.
"I… doesn\'t matter. I don\'t need anyone to protect me." Lowering her gaze, she answered. I couldn\'t tell whether or not she was on the verge of breaking down.
"Is that so?" Uyeno said, and by her tone I understood that the real thing was about to begin now.
