Chapter 709 - Plotting Against One Another
Chapter 709 - Plotting Against One Another
Max stood in his spirit world while observing his clone. He wanted to study it a bit, and find out what kind of changes it had gone through.
\'It definitely is giving out a demonic aura..\' He muttered inwardly. But, what he found surprising was that this Demonic transformation was way better than any other he had seen until now. It seemed Talia had done some heavy investment in him. It meant that she must be planning something very important with him.
"Let\'s try to see how it goes..." Max put his hand on the clone and then established a connection with the clone. He tried to see if he could replace the life force within it.
The Demonic blood which was trapped within the clone stayed normal during the entire process. His worries of the demonic blood trying to devour him didn\'t come true.
It seemed that the Demonic blood didn\'t have a consciousness of its own. It was only able to act earlier due to Talia\'s command. And, now he already had a way to cut off Talia\'s connection with it.
"Is there a chance that women can seize back the control of the clone from me?" Max asked as he looked at Andriel.
"It should be possible if she is able to reach a terrifying level in strength. But, the clone is made from your life force. So, if you want, you can easily destroy it," Andriel replied to him.
"Interesting…" Max\'s lips curled up into a smile. The next instant, he looked at the clone and activated the power of Demonic blood.
"Whoosh!" An eerily aura soon began to surge from the clone, and it looked at it\'s hand with an odd look on its face, "This sure feels odd.."
He was clearly not used to this new sensation.
"I feel this clone\'s strength has gone up as well."
The next moment, the clone looked at Max, and then moved.
"Are you trying to fight yourself?" Andriel really didn\'t know what to say here.
"I wanted to do it once, but the clone had been too weak all this time," Max muttered with a smile. He still hadn\'t achieved perfection in the Andriel\'s Spirit Art. Hence, the clone wasn\'t able to imitate much of his strength.
But, this demon blood sure had given it a significant boost.
"Bang!"
Max and his clone clashed.
The two exchanged several blows. But, Max suddenly felt that it was pointless. He was the one making the move from both sides. Hence, he knew what was coming and what was going.
He attacked from one side, and the other side would already be aware of the perfect counter or the timing to dodge. This made the fight pointless. But, it still was a unique experience. So, he continued for a bit.
When the two separated, Max was satisfied with the clone for now.
This clone right now, could surely match the lower ranked of Celestial, who were somewhere half the way into Expert Tier.
\'No, wonder people are willing to switch sides. It indeed has the ability to boost your strength..\' Max shook his head.
"What are you going to do about that woman now?" Andriel suddenly asked.
Talia had obviously tried to take control of Max. But, it didn\'t work. Something sure would happen when this fact got out.
"What\'s the hurry? She wanted to play me? Well, how about I play with her a bit?" Max\'s lips curled up into an evil smile.
….
The next morning..
Naze had yet to return. Max had no idea where the idiot was roaming around. If he was a real bodyguard, he surely would have lost his job by now. After all, Max almost became a puppet last night.
"Hmmn?" Max suddenly felt a reaction from the Demon blood. And, he knew what it was.
He immediately let out the clone, and then disappeared from the place. After all, if the two of them were spotted together. That would certainly lead to trouble.
The clone then headed towards the place where he was being called at, and Max soon found his clone standing in a room.
It was the Lady\'s Room.
Talia sat on her couch while looking at Max with a calm look on her face. The next second, she let go of her control over him, and the blank look on his eyes turned to normal.
"W-What\'s going on here?" Max was immediately surprised to find himself standing in an unknown place.
"There is no need to be surprised.." Talia looked at him with a smile.
"It was you.." Max frowned.
"It seems you have realized something." She smiled in surprise. It seemed that he was not being called a genius for no reason.
"From now on, you will do as I say. You will be my servant," She calmly said it as if it was something very obvious.
"And, do you think I will give in that easily?" Max snorted. "You don\'t seem to have an idea what you are doing?"
"No, you are the one who doesn\'t realize it." Talia\'s eyes flashed with a strange light as a bloody glow appeared on Max\'s chest, and strange runes soon began to appear all over his body.
"Ah!" Max groaned in pain as he fell onto his knees, "What..did you..do ..to me?"
"You are smart. I don\'t think I need to explain much to you. You only need to do one thing and that is to follow my orders. There will be nothing good in defying me. "
"Besides, even if you don\'t want to obey me, I can still use you without your consent. Like how I made you to come to this room without you knowledge. But, that will surely be a bit annoying."
"Hence, I am giving you a chance. Follow my orders, and you will have whatever you want…" Talia looked at Max as if she was an Empress.
Max couldn\'t help but snort inwardly.
Did she really think he was a fool?
It was obvious that this puppet thing which allowed her to control him only worked for short distances. If she wanted to control him in the Capital while seating in Ocien, then she could go ahead and try it.
Secondly, if Max wanted then all her control would disappear in a second.. But, not now, the fun was only beginning.
