Lord of the Karmic Fate

Chapter 91 Clash Of Two Monsters

Bam!

With a loud blast that thundered in a large area, definitely reaching the perimeters of the city at the feet of the mountain, Raven\'s body flickered and appeared before the closest beast to him.

"Die." with his serpent dagger already raised high above his head, Raven\'s eyes flashed coldly and without any hesitancy swung his arm downward.

As for the poor trembling beast, which a few seconds ago was full of pride and bloodlust, didn\'t even have time to react before its head was cleanly sliced off of its body.

Paff!

[Congratulations! You have slain Rank 7 Stinger Wolf!]

[Your Strength has gained +1 point!]

"One down, 5 more to go..." Raven mumbled while he also felt as if his body became a little weaker after killing the beast.

It seemed because of the death of the Stinger Wolf, now instead of getting 18 points from his Title\'s second effect he only got 15. Although that 3 points were not something of a huge difference because it has happened instantaneously it was something rather noticeable.

"Two!"

While Raven was standing before the beast\'s corpse, the Alpha finally snapped out of its initial shock and quickly howled toward the sky, to which the rest reacted the same way before lunging themselves at Raven.

However, unfortunately, in the face of someone whose Speed alone was twice as fast as that yours, none of the Rank 7 Stinger Wolves stood a chance before Raven.

Also, let\'s not mention that because of his continuous practice, Raven was way stronger than an average Rank 14.

Poor bastards... Their fate had been sealed the very moment they decided to ambush Raven.

Swish!

Swish!

Swish!

Swish!

With fast movement and a calm mind, Raven stepped from side to side and like the reaper severed the heads off of each beast, claiming their lives in mere seconds!

[Congratulations! You have slain Rank 7 Stinger Wolf!]

[Your Strength has gained +1 point!]

[Congratulations! You have slain Rank 7 Stinger Wolf!]

[Your Speed has gained +1 point!]

[Congratulations! You have slain...]

In just one minute, Raven sent 5 ferocious beasts, ones that could easily shred any average human from Earth apart in seconds to the afterlife, gaining 3 points to his Strength and 2 points to his Speed!

Which, just like previously, happened with every human back on Earth also!

"My... My Speed and Strength have increased!"

"M-Mine also! But how is this even possible!?"

"I-I don\'t... know..."

People were even more confused than ever, yet, at the same time, in their eyes, that small flickering of hope slowly but surely began to burn brighter, their faith in Raven growing stronger with each passing second.

"Master Dan... Since when did the Young Master become... This strong?" leaning closer to Old Dan, Thomas stared at the floating panel in front of him with widened eyes, hardly believing that Raven was this strong.

Of course, both he and Old Dan understood that Raven possessed great strength, after all, he was able to kill two large snakes alone, but they would have never expected him to be this strong.

It seemed they have focused so much of their attention to find great Talents for their Guilds that they have completely neglected the possibility of the one closest to them being one!

"We should have noticed it way sooner..." Old Dan sighed deeply, regretting that he didn\'t notice it despite everything was as clear as day

The time Raven gained his Avatar Imprint, the moment he gained access to the Realm Shop, when he happened to buy his Collector\'s Gloves from that mysterious god when he got his hands on the Backroom Keys, and his feats when he entered the Realm Games and Domains.

Everything indicated he was a unique individual with feats that no one else have ever achieved before, yet, because he didn\'t notice them... because he was ignorant this fate fell on his son.

A fate that was so heavy that Old Dan knew clearly that it weighed on Raven like a mountain despite him not showing it.

Meanwhile, inside the large hall where all the gods and goddesses are gathered, a God with a bestial body leaned forward, his sharp eyes narrowed to a slit.

"That human... How interesting."

"You seem to have noticed something, Oragi. Why don\'t you share it with us?" a beautiful goddess with skin covered in flowers smiled sweetly, quickly earning the attention of the rest of the hall.

Oragi, who held the name of God of Beasts, leaned back into his chair and after crossing his arms he said, "It is nothing, really. It is just that human possesses a special title."

"So he is sort of a nemesis to you, huh?" the beautiful goddess asked, her smile as sweet and charming as ever.

Upon hearing the question, Oragi\'s mouth turned into a wide grin, revealing his razor-sharp teeth, and let out boisterous laughter.

"You are really funny, woman! Hahaha!"

...

Standing still with six corpses around him and with a dagger covered in green blood, Raven stared calmly at the city in the distance.

[Congratulations! You have slain Rank 8 Mutated Stinger Wolf!]

[Your Speed has gained +1 point!]

\'Even an Alpha grants a single point?\' staring down at the now headless corpse of the Alpha Stinger Wolf, Raven sighed with disappointment and shook his head.

He at least hoped he could gain more than that, but well...

The reality, as always, was disappointing. It was nothing new for him.

After examining the bodies of the beasts, Raven concluded that it was better not to try and eat their flesh nor to touch that weird slimy substance. He had this weird instinct that if he does, he would die even without knowing what happened.

Thus, after making sure no more beasts or abominations were trying to ambush him from the shadows, Raven shifted his gaze at the beam of light in the distance, and after a few seconds of pondering he began to walk toward it.

Descending from the top of the small mountain he had been teleported onto, Raven quickly reached the perimeter of the city.

Broken windows and walls, entirely demolished buildings now in the images of piles of debris, while the streets and constructions that were lucky enough to keep standing were covered in thick and long roots that if one looked at closely were moving!

\'Jesus... What the hell is this smell?\' frowning the moment the putrid smell hit his face, Raven wished to grab his nose, but unfortunately, as he had a mask on his head he could only endure.

Traversing through the streets while avoiding stepping onto the moving roots and the puddle of slimy substance, Raven walked with caution with his weapon ready to be used at any given second.

And soon enough, after walking through the streets of the maze-like city, Raven finally crossed paths with his first enemy...

It was a creature.

However, different from the centipede or the scorpion wolves, this one looked way more... eerie... and huge...

Currently, Raven was hiding behind the corner of an almost destroyed building, looking at the monstrosity from there.

The monster was massive in size, like, why wouldn\'t it? It was about 5 meters in height and at least three, but it can be four adult humans in width. It had a massive figure with a huge and fat stomach, large and chubby arms, and a neckless head resting directly on its torso!

Moreover, its skin was deep crimson with greenish saliva continuously falling out of its open jaw onto his huge belly, while the massive mace in its hands was dragged behind it as it slowly walked in the opposite direction from Raven.

And to make things even worse, the huge pig was also wearing thick armor on its already massive frame, making it look like a living tank!

\'That thing definitely weighs close to 500 kilos!\' Raven thought inwardly, swallowing a little nervously as he tried to figure out how to kill that bastard.

At the moment, as he had already switched back to his Blessed Prodigy Title, his strength was equal to that of someone on Rank 12, perhaps 13. However, when he looked at the creature in front of him, Raven had a bad feeling if he were to fight with it, although he would be the one gaining victory, he would have to sacrifice a limb or at least a grave injury!

Which, considering that he still had to fight with a being from another race, after all, that is the reason why he is here, he wished to avoid.

\'What should I do then...?\' while pondering whether he should use his trump cards so soon despite he didn\'t even meet the real threat yet, suddenly another shadow emerged from beside the monster, making Raven\'s eyes widen.

It was another creature, one with a similar appearance to the first one with the only difference that this one carried a huge hammer in its hand than a mace.

\'Nah, I should search for another way...\' knowing way too well he had no chance to win against those two, at least not with his current strength and fighting experience, Raven was ready to leave when suddenly a loud explosion happened, filling the air with the sound of metal clashing against metal.

\'What!?\'
