I Hate Systems

Chapter 1027 What Zero Luck Is Like

"There\'s nothing fun in that world." Dita complained, "All the Haggons have simply submitted to my rein. I cannot bully anyone or fight too."

"Just be patient, I\'ll send in some high quality Aberrants soon." Rhizen said and pushed Dita through the portal. "Or do you wish to take a walk in a Cultivation World?"

"Forget that, Cultivation Worlds are too dangerous now. I don\'t want a System to enter my body." Dita harrumphed as she slithered into the portal.

On the other side were vast plains, laden with boulders, and mimicking them were Haggons, sleeping lazily, camouflaged into the surroundings. As Dita slithered through the plains, she snorted, slapping at a nearby Haggon with her tail to send it flying.

Roar!

The Haggon suffered a gash on its chest, critical to any other creature. It shrugged as by the time it got up, the wound was no more, fully healed up. The Haggon was now pissed, having been woken from its slumber.

It stared at Dita and roared, condensing a layer of energy blades around its fist as it leapt forth and punched her. its energy blade fists expanded in side and slammed into Dita, sending her body skidding by a few metres.

There was not even a scratch on her scales though as Dita hissed at the Haggon, "Now we\'re talking!"

"You\'re today\'s snack!" Saying so, Dita leaped forth and coiled around the Haggon like a python, her body loosening up every time the Haggon attacked with its energy blades. The struggle lasted for a few hours until the Haggon\'s Darlac was fully expended.

With that, the Haggon was unable to use any energy blade attacks. Dita then proceeded to coil further and shattered all the bones in its body, swallowing it whole after that.

The first time she swallowed a Haggon without expending its Darlac, she was in a world of pain. And hence, Dita only consumed them after exhausting their reserves.

With the fall of Secret Society in the Darble World, wiped out by the Luck Systems, all the Haggons part of it lost their sentience. Their minds became corrupted while to avoid any future threats, the Dungeon with Haggons was curb stomped.

But thanks to the Dungeon\'s nature, new Haggons began to appear and over time, they populated the Dungeon. As Dita developed a taste for creatures with Darlac, Gahrat made a deal with Domino Plottopia and brought in the Haggons.

Eventually, Rhizen placed them in an empty world for Dita to play with. After all, the source of the mutated beasts and resources Rhizen consumed to scour for other worlds and enter it came from Dita.

She was singlehandedly the most important creature that the PADS depended upon for their activities. Gahrat had created many mutated beasts that were inferior copies of Dita. But, their powers were limited and could only be used by the respective individual.

But just the scales shed by Dita could be processed to create items that allowed them to travel to other worlds en masse. They were the fuel keeping the portals running. They were cheap, efficient, and posed no risks in setting up and maintaining the function of.

Therefore, Dita was a strategic resource, which was why Rhizen didn\'t wish to send her away, at least not until he completed his goal of destroying the Apocalypse System.

\'I don\'t know how long I can keep fooling her like this. Sensing Stencil\'s aura made her impatient once again.\' Rhizen sighed as he observed Dita eating up a Haggon as he closed the portal.

He faced the opposite direction, observing the sheer volume of activity performed by his people, the strengths of everyone increasing steadily over the years, \'I need to talk with Compass and make him convince Dita to stay here longer.\'

It was never an issue until Gahrat was alive. Dita complained from time to time but was content with roaming through Cultivation Worlds with Gahrat whenever she was bored. But that was nothing but a short session as Gahrat perished in the war.

"Guess I have plenty of things still left to take care of." Muttering as such, Rhizen closed his hands in prayer, "May luck be supreme."

"It has been ages since I last saw you, Money-Making System." Stencil stared at the figure of Ying, speaking with familiarity.

"Have you been well?"

Stencil then brought Ying with her as she left with Earth Star, was chased by Zaira, broiled into a conflict, obtained support from Gehera, and finally was killed by Arnark.

Right at this time, Compass Carburettor arrived at the scene and revived all four of them, sending Stencil, Gehera, and Earth Star to the serpent universe.

He unleashed his Genre Representation following that, leading to the creation of Faith Grounds.

"Aaah!" Stencil screamed the moment she arrived within the serpent universe, clutching her neck as she still felt the sensation of Arnark killing her, \'If not for dad, I would have died then and there.\'

"A-Are you alright, Stencil?" Gehera gasped for air as she plopped to the ground weakly, unable to gather any strength in her legs.

"I\'m…not." Stencil spoke slowly, feeling difficulty in breathing. Even though she revived, she still managed to gather data from the surroundings once she was revived. Through that, she understood that she had died.

It wasn\'t like her prior deaths where she expended some luck to revive. This was a proper death. If not for Dreamcraft, she wouldn\'t have been here now, breathing, "I can\'t gather any strength in my legs."

"Just…get some rest." Earth Star said, forcefully stabilising his mental state to say in worry, "Your luck is nil now. Any action you take now will only adversely affect you. So, just remain as still as possible."

"Lady Genesis!" Platinum Head observed their arrival and rushed towards her in a hurry, suddenly tripping along the way as he crashed into Stencil.

He got up in a hurry and apologised profusely, "I didn\'t mean to do that. I offer my apologies."

"Stop speaking for a minute." Stencil flinched as she touched her nose, feeling blood drip due to the impact. Originally, such an impact wouldn\'t even scratch her, but as her luck was nil, that impact incited a series of chain reactions in her body to amplify the damage to the maximum, to an extent capable of affecting her adversely.

\'So, this is what the life of someone with zero luck would be like.\' Stencil thought, calming down as she observed her luck values recovering slowly but steadily, \'Had I been anyone but the current me, I would have died a hundred times over by now.\'
