Chapter 722 You Lack Hospitality.
Even as Hal spoke, every guard on the Estate was alerted to the presence of an intruder and they all began to make their to towards the location the arrays had highlighted.
Of course, once the location became clear as the deliberation hall inside which the Chieftess was having her meeting, there was much more rational thinking and fewer people bashing in.
If an intruder had made their way into the very center of the Estate, to a location the Chieftess herself was sitting in, then it was already out of the hands of the regular experts.
Only the best were qualified to make their way there... And they all did.
They came through the doors while Elenor furrowed her brows at the sight of this masked individual who claimed to mean no harm.
This masked individual might have claimed he meant no harm but Elenor did mean him harm but she saw no reason to act when there were so many of her experts present In the hall.
Speaking of which, a couple of experts stepped forward toward Hal but before they could get within a foot of him, two daggers charged out of nowhere a struck them in the neck.
The moment the daggers, that had been imbued with emerald green toxins were tossed, the invisibility that had been shrouding Sassy\'s presence was dispelled.
She was not too far away from Hal and she had a frown on her face as she summoned her daggers back into her hands.
The experts she had attacked fell to their knees with their bodies quickly getting tinged with green. They tried fighting it as best as they could and they were succeeding in slowing down the spread... At least that was how it seemed before the coloration sped up and completely enveloped them and they both fell to the ground. Dead.
"Who\'s next?" Sassy asked in a menacing tone as she took on an attacking pose and showed off fangs that were now growing in her mouth.
Anyone who dared attempt to attack her master would get it!
"Outrageous!" yelled a man standing close to the Chieftess.
The man seemed to be in his early thirties but was surely much older. He had a thin beard that seemed quite sinister and his light red eyes were glinting with malice.
The man stretched his right hand and a spell circle appeared... The man thrust his hand through the circle and when he pulled his hand out, he was holding a large sword made of Devil energy with a color mixture of red and black. A Devil armament.
The man did not look at Sassy and has his eyes focused on Hal instead... He seemed to be of the accurate notion that Hal was in-charge of this party of two that could very well increase in number.
Already, all those residing in the Devil Chief\'s Estate were wandering how the intruders had managed to get so deep into the estate and this man was no different... However, now was not the time to focus on that unanswered question as now was the time to deal with the potential danger.
If these two came into the deliberation hall, chances were they were after the Chieftess.
Speaking of which, Elenor the Malignant had her elbow on her armrest and was supporting her cheek on her right fist without a hint of worry on her face. There was not even passion for those that had been killed by Sassy.
The Devil Tribe did not have use for waste... If a member of the tribe were to be killed in such a dishonorable manner (a single hit without putting up a fight) then, they did not deserve to be mourned.
Only war heroes, especially those with lots of accolades to their name whether in battle or just to make the tribe better and cement their rule, deserved such an honor.
Anyway, the man with the thin beard gripped his large sword tightly just as many other experts lined up in front of Elenor to defend her. The man\'s eyes were on Hal who cleared his throat and said,
"Once again, I mean no harm. I am here to offer my services..." he began but the man interrupted,
"Spare us your nonsense. For the mere fact that you trespassed into this deliberation hall renders all you have to say, or offer, moot. Prepare to die" the man spoke so fast and as he did, he let out the full might of his cultivation pressure.
He unleashed his cultivation as a three-star Transcendent beast and used the pressure as precedence before he charged toward Hal.
As he did, the fellows of those Sassy had killed made their way toward her.
Sassy\'s directive from Hal was to show no mercy and not give any leeway for disrespect... While they were not here for conflict, Hal needed to make it clear to all those they would be visiting that he could make for a terrible enemy.
The last thing he wanted was to become a pushover...
Sassy would not have to fight for long though as Hal promised her that all would be made calm soon.
Plus, she had complete access to the Harem space and could use it for a quick getaway whenever she pleased.
The man with the thin beard moved at a speed that Hal could barely comprehend or follow but that did not matter because he could use the Devil energy that had been used to form the sword the man was wielding to track his movement.
The man came at him with a fatal strike from the get-go but just before his hit made contact, Hal\'s skin turned blue as he took on his Devil form but limited it to only a part of his body. His hand.
The Devil form granted him the strength to withstand the strike that was coming and then he used his authority of having the superior Devil bloodline to briefly take control of the sword and turn it off course.
The sword strike went from targeting a fatal part of his body to his sapphirine blue palm.
All this happened at speeds that only one person in the hall could follow and that person was not the man wielding the sword but was rather the woman seating on her throne and watching it all attentively.
The man wielding the sword was very surprised to see his attack miss the target and was even more confused to find it difficult to pull his sword out of Hal\'s blue fist.
He began to get a different feeling from Hal... A feeling very similar to his but much more dignified... Much more royal.
"A Devil...?" the man mumbled before casting a spell the next instant.
*Boom!!!*
The spell caused an explosion powered by Devil energy that Hal just absorbed into his body and made into his own.
While he was able to absorb the Devil energy though, the force of the blast still caused him to slide back and in the process, he let go of the man\'s sword.
The man groaned in annoyance at Hal\'s so far impressive display before red lines appeared on his face and a horn grew out of the left side of his forehead. The horn was about five inches long and Devil red.
Along with the horn and the red mark on his face, the man also began to sport tattoos all over the parts of his body that were visible and that was a considerable amount.
Hal chuckled and shook his head,
"You all lack hospitality. And to think I was actually considering giving you a way into the Haron Continent. To think I was actually considering helping you in your quest for victory over your eternal nemesis. Pitiful.
Alight then, power up. I\'ll kill you and then be on my way"
The messenger for the council, who had quickly gotten out of the way the moment the battles broke out, had widened eyes as he heard Hal\'s words.
"He\'s bluffing, right?" said the messenger in a quiet voice.
The man with the thin beard did not seem to have heard what Hal said or more likely, he did not care.
That did not matter though as there was someone who cared...
"That is enough, Gregor," said Elenor without changing her pose on her throne.
The man, who was apparently called Gregor, who had gotten into a running pose was frozen by her order instantly and the wave of authority that had frozen him went on to affect the other batting experts in the hall.
They all stopped battling and Sassy had to actively control herself to stop from stabbing the one she had been about to drive her dagger through.
It had been fun but there was a limit to the violence her master had allowed her and she could tell that the violence was at an end.
Gregor unfrozed and his appearance went back to normal as he bowed to Elenor and walked back to where he used to stand in the hall.
Those who had been lined in front of Elenor (all of whom were especially capable experts that the Chieftess had summoned for the report reading) quickly made their way to the sides of her throne while Elenor kept her eyes on Hal who was smiling slightly behind his mask.
"A way into the Haron Continent you say, such a claim hardly seems credible," Elenor said.
"Oh but it is, I wouldn\'t be here if it wasn\'t," Hal said as Sassy sheathed her dangers and slowly made her way to his side.
Elenor\'s eyes glinted,
"Ah yes, you wouldn\'t be HERE in my deliberation hall without express permission and killing my tribesmen right in front of me."
Hal shrugged,
"I see that as doing you a favor. They didn\'t even allow you to listen to my polite words and tried attacking me on the spot. It is scum like them who give your Devil tribe a terrible reputation."
"What terrible reputation?" Elenor asked with a raised brow before adding,
"If you mean the reputation that we are rash and bloodthirsty gore-loving freaks without the patience to listen to long, lengthy, and false propositions, then that is not a terrible reputation but one I would like to prove as accurate to you right this very second!"
