Never Judge

Chapter 602 - 602

"Fuck!" Eric cursed as he punched the wall.

The nurses and doctors all suddenly stopped what they were doing and turned to the usually calm man.

"Back to work everyone." Miguel said in a commanding tone. Everyone turned their attention away from them, no one dared go against Miguel in the hospital.

"When I saw him I knew he had gone through a lot, but not this much." Cedric said with a sigh, shaking his head.

"What the fuck is wrong with those people." Miguel hissed. "Abusing a child like that. We shouldn\'t even go through the proper channels, we should just outright have that school banned."

"You know that it will do more harm than good to do that." Cedric said, shaking his head.

"They need to be made into an example." Eric said angrily. "People need to know that no matter how much power and money you have, you can\'t go around treating children that way."

"Eric is right." Cedric said with a nod. "That\'s why we need to pull all our resources together. They need to be found guilty in the trial of the decade and Ram needs to broadcast it across the country. The bigger the hype, the better our message will get across."

"I can\'t believe they had such good products too, like Helios, Selina, and Dave." Miguel said with a frown.

"Part of me can\'t help but hope that most of their graduates turned out like those three." Cedric said, shaking his head.

"Do you have enough evidence?" Eric asked Cedric. He had found out about Cedric\'s plan from his girlfriend, Katerina. She would be the one taking this case to the courts.

"Yes." Cedric said with a nod. "She told Ian that the best way to push this case is for Dominic to take the stand and to testify about what happened."

"I heard Dave also managed to get information from former graduates, is that true?" Miguel asked with a curious look.

Cedric nodded, his assistant was not the only one appalled by the schools treatment of it\'s students.

"It seemed that with each year the bullying got worse, until it reached Dominic\'s batch." Cedric explained. "From what we\'ve gathered there were two other scholars in Dominic\'s batch, they were bullied and physically abused, but not to the same level as Dominic."

"Didn\'t the parents complain?" Eric asked Cedric.

"What could they do?" Cedric said with a frown. "Without the school their children\'s futures would be bleak. Even if they did complain it would still be covered up by the rich families involved and then the children would lose their scholarships."

"What\'s going to happen to those children now?" Miguel asked Cedric as he leaned against the wall.

"I\'ve had Ian place them under the Reyes Group\'s foundation." Cedric explained. "We\'ll be shouldering for their education. We\'ve also offered jobs for their parents, but as you know there is only so much we can offer."

"Send the kids over to the hospital." Eric suddenly said. "I am sure that they are suffering from both mental and physical trauma. I\'ll pay for everything."

"We\'ll." Miguel said, correcting his brother. "We, the Chan family, will pay for all their medical bills. I mean we do own the hospital."

"I\'m sure Nicole will agree." Eric said with a nod as he smiled at his brother.

"Where is Nicole?" Cedric asked, looking around. He hadn\'t seen the youngest Chan sibling since he had Dominic brought to the hospital.

"She\'s dealing with the Chan elders." Miguel said with a sigh, shaking his head. "They are pushing for Nicole and Ian to get married."

"Still the same drama?" Cedric asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Of course." Miguel said with a laugh. "If they hadn\'t learned by now, there is no way of swaying Nicole."

"Plus, Saints Hospital would fall without her." Eric said with a shrug.  "Not only does she have the majority of the shareholders on her side, but she also is literally the only one in the family that can keep this place a float."

"Sadly, now they have a new threat against her." Migule said with a sigh. "Uncle Miguel\'s long lost son."

"They can\'t possibly think they can get that man to side with them?" Cedric asked with a laugh. The elders of their families were often too stuck up to see reality. "They not only cause your Uncle Miguel and his wife\'s death, but they are the reason why Lucius Ting had to grow up away from his real family."

"So you are convinced that this Lucius guy is our cousin?" Miguel asked Cedric.

"There is no other candidate and no other explanation." Cedric said with a shrug. "Of course we are still looking for the nurse and I suggest you do a DNA test, but he is most likely your cousin."

"Great." Eric said, shaking his head. "Our cousin is out to topple the Reyes Group. I don\'t know if he is a genius or if he is crazy."

"He seems like a smart guy." Cedric said. "I wouldn\'t underestimate him." Cedric said, shaking his head.

"So what\'s the plan with Dominic?" Eric asked.

"Well he has to recover first, so he will stay here." Cedric explained in a much more serious tone. "Veronica and Miguel have expressed their intention to adopt Dominic, I just need to know that the kid is alright with that."

"Dominic seems to like V." Miguel said with a smile. "That honestly surprised me. Even Tristan took a while to like V." Miguel said with a laugh as he remembered how his nephew would cry whenever his wife would pick the kid up.

"Won\'t there be an issue with his legal guardianship?" Eric asked.

"Nothing that money can\'t fix." Cedric said with a shrug. "As much as I don\'t want to go that route, it\'s easier than making him go through the whole process."

"I\'ll talk to Alexi about fixing it." Miguel said with a nod.

"I can\'t believe that Dominic is twelve. His growth was really stunted by those people." Eric said with a frown.

"Don\'t worry, Eric, they will pay." Miguel promised with a nod as they returned to the room.
