Chapter 107 29: To The Capital!
I cannot believe such handy magic exists, although, in the game, it was commonplace. For someone not from this world, it truly is amazing... imagine those early morning work commutes on the train if they were this size in each section.
"Ah, look out, master!" Lephalia exclaimed with a bright voice as she hopped past Lucifer and jumped into the carriage carrying several large boxes of vegetables and dried meat for the journey.
He took a brief look at her lovely face with a light sweat dripping down her brow before moving his eyes, enjoying the sight of the silver-coloured wood that seemed to be created from a special tree that only the church had access to.
This wood is called Starwood, able to resist fire and most magic types with extreme level resistance—not only that, but it was very durable and waterproof, much better than your typical oak or mahogany.
"Do you girls need any help?" He asked, his hand pushing against the silver wood, seeing if he could make it bend, but even with his enhanced strength, it only slightly moved.
Impressive wood, to be honest.
I wonder if I could steal some for the shields of Irina and Lephalia...
Lucifer pondered as speaking of the devil—Irina walked over with large boxes filled with clothes and outfits the girls had bought during their stay, the black and golden chests almost bursting at the seams.
"Hehe, you just want to see our underwear. No way."
Irina chirped before jumping into the carriage and skittering towards the small female room inside a place where even Lucifer was banned from entering.
I cannot deny that men want to see what is hidden in the private rooms of women...
Although we know the reality is dried makeup, clothes, sanitary towels and the secret toys they hide.
Since they didn\'t want his help, he just stepped forward and moved towards the front of the carriage, his hand sliding along the well-crafted vehicle with small magical imprints carved into the mythril used to hammer and bind the carriage together.
"I can\'t believe they pull carriages with silver birds. It does feel fitting for the church, though..." Lucifer muttered as he stepped on the driver\'s ledge, pulling himself up to see the comfortable black sofa and backrest with a nice silver roof with glass covering the driver from rain and wind.
His whisper caused the animals to caw and chirp, looking back at him with plate armour protecting their beaks, heads and bodies.
It really feels like a fantasy sports car.
"Phew..."
Sitting down with a slight thud, he felt the comfort of this seat was beyond any car he had driven in his past life, feeling a little jealous towards the church\'s carriage drivers.
"Hmmm? Is it powered by something other than a whip?"
Lucifer wasn\'t able to see any kind of whip as he imagined, and instead, there was a glass interface in the front wooden cover that protected the driver\'s body from the elements. It had several buttons and different smaller screens with words in their runic forms.
Feed... Dash... Stop... I see—rather than using a physical whip, they send commands using magic through these two hand prints?
He meant the two round buttons beside the driver\'s seat that were shaped like a person\'s hands, one being red and the other green.
Tap! Tap!
Suddenly, as Lucifer was playing with the driver\'s seat, he saw a female templar wearing a black chainmail outfit and silver badge climb up the steps only to stop when faced with him sitting there with a smile.
Wow, Serena is going to be driving? She looks so pretty in this outfit. I knew she was going to travel incognito on this journey to avoid any serious threats, but she looked amazing. Her beautiful curves and lovely face suited the armour well.
"Lucifer?" The tone was quite strange, and she seemed like she was a child caught stealing.
"Oh, Sera!"
"Shhh! I am not her... Are you a stupid hero?"
The moment he spoke her true name, her face changed, and she looked a little awkward, trying to smile, but it looked a little silly with her lips trembling and the fake smile looking eerie rather than cute or welcoming.
They had chosen her to be called by a nickname due to the chances of the opposing church members knowing which carriage and where she was.
In fact, the only reason Lucifer knew it was her was due to his vampiric senses being able to smell her familiar blood and see through the mid-class illusion magic that made her look like Estella.
Well, the real Estella is already inside our carriage, sulking because she cannot be outside, though... He remembered about how she began crying to him and demanding a special service when they next stopped.
Though it made him happy that Estella desired him that much, Lucifer sometimes felt the girls were getting a little too out of control with their requests and desires.
While he was lost in his thoughts, the annoyed Serena sat beside him and elbowed him as she landed.
The smooth movement was impressive until her blow landed, and she felt a sudden sharp pain in her arm like it hit a brick wall.
"Argh.... you!?" She looked at him, thinking he might have attacked her or blocked her with a weapon, but Lucifer just looked at her with a clueless face.
"Damn... are you made of steel?" She complained, watching him sneer at her. It made her body shake with a sense of frustration.
"Hmmm? Why are you complaining now? I just sat here quietly, like a good hero! Yet you horrid holy woman call me stupid or a piece of metal!"
Lucifer looked at her with the most wronged face ever, his big eyes staring at her with his mouth open in shock, pretending to be affected by her words.
As she began shaking, he couldn\'t help but crack a smile.
"Why do you sound so hysterical!? I was just Ah... my arm hurts so bad...."
"Nnn... That feels good... W-Wait... stop licking my elbow!!"
He looked up at the strange woman who was trying to hide her face of pure bliss as his tongue began to numb her red elbow that was bleeding slightly from hitting him, though he didn\'t seem to care and continued cleaning the wound.
"My... What a bad bruise; who would hurt the fair bishop this badly? Your bone feels soft!"
Serena couldn\'t understand was this man was serious or just annoying her on purpose.
She didn\'t even fully understand what she was doing here and joined him to go to the capital when she woke up after he left. It was two days later, and the entire thing was planned.
"Wait... It was your fault!" She shouted and began to hammer his chest with her hands, only to feel the pain once again, although because she wasn\'t trying to hurt him seriously, it just caused a slight pink bruise on the bottom of her hands.
"Ahhh! Help, the hero is being attacked!" Lucifer called out with his arms spread wide, pretending to be beaten with a monotone voice.
"Stop! Don\'t do that annoying voice!"
Maybe because of the pitch of Serena\'s voice or the buttons being touched, a few of the silver birds were scared and jolted the carriage slightly, causing the driver\'s room to shake wildly and causing Serena to fall.
"Ahhh!?"
What is this cliché bit? Should I let her fall onto that hard stone button? Lucifer thought to himself, as the world for him moved slower when danger or enemies were close—thus, the shaking and her strange movements were slow.
"Kyah!?"
Oh, what a cute cry she makes... calm down, my other half. She isn\'t for us to eat!
Lucifer\'s arms grabbed Serena, her chainmail jingling as he wrapped her body with his and held her tightly against his chest, causing the poor virgin bishop to fill with shock.
"Haaa... so muscular..."
"Hmmm, your blood smells different?" Lucifer whispered as his hands began to slide down the body of Serena as if by instinct and grasped her soft and squishy, large buttocks even through the thin chainmail—it felt divine... "Amen..." He added.
"Eh...Hueh? N-no... I am Serena... Honest!"
Celestia had spent her life managing the world, be it living her life as a higher being or romance. The closest she had gotten was watching dramas from other worlds or the lives of the royals in her world.
So the moment she felt her other half entering a fun moment, she switched with the poor bishop, who had no idea and hugged Lucifer\'s chest as tightly as possible, even making sure to land on his chest.
*Sniff* *Sniff*
She didn\'t even realise she was doing it, but the instincts of her body and the feelings of both her and Serena aligned for the first time as their small button nose began to sniff at his open collar as if entranced by his thick scent.
Lucifer, on the other hand, looked at them with an awkward smile that was trembling....
The bishop has a scent fetish... I hope she can get her fill soon.
I don\'t want to make my little brother disappointed.
