Chapter 176 - 176 Daily Life <1>
Kate glared at Kyle and curled up on her own bed. Anyway, unless she could return back into her adult form, she would prefer to sleep as a cat. It was easier for her to accept sleeping in the same room with a male when she’s in her cat form as compared to her human’s form.
Kyle watched Kate that was already going to sleep and laughed lightly.
This little cat really underestimated his vigilance. As early as Kate took that door key from his pocket, he had already been awake. However, he had to say that hugging that little cat as her punishment made him amused.
At this moment, all the dark thoughts that swirled within his mind before had disappeared.
All he knew was that the little cat is now sleeping not far from him.
It’s good.
…
Less than two hours later, Kyle woke up. He still had a lot of things to do, so it was impossible for him to sleep for a long time. There was no bathroom inside the room yet because it would take time to select the material and build it even with the help of these awakened people.
.....
Kyle stood up and picked Kate up carefully.
“Meow…” <What is it?>
Kate was still very sleepy.
Kyle chuckled lightly. “Just stay asleep. I’ll take you out for a walk and later you’ll help the others.”
Kate thought to herself that if it meant she could sleep a few more hours, that should be fine. With that in thought, Kate snuggled closer to Kyle and closed her eyes once more. Anyway, she just wanted to sleep more.
A little cat’s body was really troublesome. The temptation to sleep was even stronger than her bed when she woke up early in the morning.
*sigh*
Walking out of the door, he saw Dylan was already standing there with an ashen expression. In front of him was Jake, who happily brought the bucket away with him.
“For bath?” Kyle asked.
Dylan nodded. “Water?”
“I’ll ask for it later. There should be enough in the shared bathroom above.”
Dylan nodded. There was indeed enough, but they would need line up to use that bathroom if they wanted to use. He was not that patient, so Dylan simply left to take a bath on his own.
Lotte opened her door. “Dylan, give me some water too! I need a bath! Wait, I need a full tub!”
“What do you even want to do with so much water?” Jake was stunned. He hadn’t entered his room because his room was technically the training room. He wanted to create a bathroom for them first.
“Of course it’s because women need more water, got it?” Lotte glared in Jake’s direction.
Jake showed two hands as sign that he surrendered and walked towards Marc’s room so that he could drag the young man to build the bathroom for them in this floor.
When Marc knew the reason why Jake wake him up, he couldn’t help but feeling like he wanted to smash Jake’s head with stones. Did he have to wake him so early just to build the bathroom?
Marc was still tired.
But because of his element, he had to be reduced to be construction worker along with Jake.
Then again, he couldn’t exactly complain.
He also wanted a bathroom.
Robby had been running around here and there, asking for a place to relieve himself. And after not finding a place… he did it at the corner.
Marc used his ability to bury it far away underground because he truly couldn’t stand the smell.
So bathroom is necessary!
After some noises here and there, the bathroom was built in each of their room. The first was naturally Lotte who was already impatient, the second was Kyle, who had business to go. After that, the last three quarreled about who would be next and Jake was painfully reminded that he had to build another room for himself first.
Thus, he was the last.
He still didn’t manage to build a room yesterday because Marc slipped away and Jake definitely didn’t want a room made out of metal completely. He felt cold just thinking about staying inside the room of metal…
Thankfully, after they had finished with the bathroom, Jake successfully dragged Marc to help him build another room for himself.
He could finally sleep well at night!
Cheers!
Getting out of the place, Kyle headed to the wall and saw that the soldiers were switching shift. There were still many giant mutated animals roaming outside and it would take a long time to fully eliminate all giant mutated animals.
“Soldier Kyle,” one of the soldiers there greeted.
Kyle refused to retain his former rank, so other people would only call him with the word ‘solder’ if they wanted to be more polite. Anyway, he used to be a soldier too.
But from time to time, his most used title would be ‘professor’ because of his academic achievement and so on.
“You can take a rest. I’ll be here for two hours.”
“Thank you!”
Kyle nodded and looked at the giant mutated animals outside the wall. His eyes gleamed in red color as fire began to spread, killing these giant mutated animals within moments. There was no surprise and none of these giant mutated animals were a match against Kyle.
They could only lay down on the ground as they turned into ashes.
Two hours later, Kyle returned to the research institute and woke Kate up. It was already morning. She must be quite hungry after sleeping for so long.
“Meow?” <Are there kitchen here?>
Kate glanced at Kyle as they headed to the bonfire outside. If there was no kitchen, she could just take out the readymade food within her space. Anyway, aside from the edible giant mutated animals’ corpses, there were enough edible food that they had gathered before they fled in City A back then.
“Take out some meat and seasoning. I’ll roast them.”
“Meow.” <Ok >
